Doctors and nurses overhear him, and soon Mark becomes an international authority on the afterlife. People camp on his lawn to learn more. Mark develops a story about the "Man in the Sky," who functions like God, and he pastes his theology on two pizza boxes like Moses and the ten commandments. The Invention of Lying (2009)- Trailer
The Invention of Lying comedy explores a world where everyone tells the truth until one writer tells a lie and uses the power for personal gain.

Charmingly Clever,
Author: Marie-Jeanne Cotner from United States

Brilliant concept and terrific execution. Wonderful casting.

Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner are absolutely believable throughout their respective characters' evolution, and they play off each other very well. In fact, everyone's performance is spot on. And the cinematography beautifully plays up (or down, rather) the fictional world which is the story's setting.

If you're hoping for non-stop one-liners and ridiculousness throughout, this is not your film. While this film's cheeky, pointed story is loaded with wit - including some side-splitting scenes (I cried with laughter watching Ricky Gervais' character face questions from a credulous crowd) - it has a real and rather serious plot. There is a point to this fiction, indeed.

Fans Comments
I highly reccomend watching the Drama. The drama is like a novel; more extended than the movie. And the acting is more realistic and true to its heart.
I cried when i saw that movie
I'm currently reading the english version of the book. There were some different things I noticed in this trailer but I still want to see it. Orange Range's song is perfect for this movie/story.

Happy accident,
Author: dianejwright from LA

Why was this movie good? It wasn't supposed to be good. It was supposed to be a piece-of-crap romantic comedy but instead, it's an excellent story in so many complicated, touching, veracious ways. In fact, in coming up with an IMDb score, I tried to think of any one thing that would detract from a perfect movie-watching experience and, can you believe it? I can't.

Who packaged and promoted this film? Were they sleeping during the screenings? From the first second, the quality of story and production was evident. Multi-faceted, varied characters. Nuanced storyline. Fine, fine performances. Beautifully done all around.

Thank you for this happy accident.

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner in The Kingdom as Janet Mayes aka Operation: Kingdom.

The Kingdom is a 2007 film directed by Peter Berg and starring Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Ashraf Barhom, with Kyle Chandler, Jeremy Piven and Ali Suliman.

The Kingdom film is fictional, but inspired by bombings at the Riyadh compound on May 12, 2003 and the Khobar housing complex on June 26, 1996 in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The story follows a team of FBI agents who investigate the bombing of a foreign-workers facility in Saudi Arabia. Screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan has summarised the plot as "What would a murder investigation look like on Mars?”

The Kingdom film was screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival as its yearly 'Surprise Movie' on 22 August 2007.

One of the most powerful movies I have ever watched.,
Author: minerva1961 from United Kingdom

I've given this movie a 10 rating - not because it is "excellent" but because it is so intense, as someone who has lived through the troubles in Ireland and experienced terrorism first hand I have to say that I was shocked at the realism of this movie, I thought Bourne three was intense but this takes it to a new level and I think it is because it is so real and here and now. The third part of this movie I had to pause and come back to as it was just 'too real'..

There are comments about the acting, the music and even the camera work here - couldn't even begin to pass comment on any of those as the story was so intense, this is not your average action gung-ho movie, this is real life and one of the most powerful movies I have ever watched, my thanks and hats off to EVERYONE involved in this movie.
